Sample rings
Sample rings for trying on are made in advance from silver and match the actual rings in shape, width, height and ring size. We distinguish between standard sample rings and bespoke sample rings.
We recommend having sample rings made and trying them on to ensure a precise fit and to avoid the need for alterations later on. With intricate stone settings such as diamond bezels or unusual designs, alterations often incur additional costs.
Trying on sample rings gives you the assurance that your future rings will not only look good but will also be comfortable to wear in everyday life. This allows you to check how the shape, width, height and ring size feel before production begins and to select the design that suits you best. This helps to avoid uncertainty and ensures that your wedding rings will truly suit you and your everyday life later on.
Sample rings to try on in everyday life
Take your time and wear your sample rings in different everyday situations over a longer period. Hands and fingers change in circumference and thickness throughout the day. This is especially true in warm or cold conditions, when you drink a lot of fluids or during certain physical activities, as fingers can swell or shrink.
Costs of the sample ring service
A standard sample ring matches your actual wedding ring in:
- Profile shape
- Width & height
- Ring size
The sample ring is silver-coloured (i.e. it does not come in colours such as yellow, red, white, grey, etc.) and costs €80 per ring.
Upon approval of the production of the actual wedding rings (from €800 per pair) and return of the sample rings, you will receive a credit of €80 per ring.
Your standard sample rings are therefore free of charge!
An individual sample ring matches your actual wedding ring in:
- Profile shape
- Width & height
- Surface finish (polished, longitudinal matt, cross matt, diagonal matt)
- Ring size
- Grooves
- Stone settings with cubic zirconia
- Unique engravings
These additional details each carry a surcharge compared to the standard sample ring. Surcharges cannot unfortunately be credited upon return of the rings.
Upon approval of the production of the actual wedding rings (from €800 per pair) and return of the sample rings, we will credit you €80 per ring.
Our recommendation for individual sample rings:
Keep the individual sample rings as a memento and wear them, for example, on beach holidays where the risk of losing them is higher.
Notes on the sample ring service
Our sample rings are made from silver. This makes them significantly lighter than the actual wedding rings in the desired alloy. Furthermore, sample rings do not display the colours of the alloy. Multi-coloured rings cannot be represented on a sample ring either.
It takes approximately 14 days to produce customised sample rings. Standard sample rings are usually in stock.

Wij zijn uiterst tevreden over de gehele ging van zaken . Ten eerste werden we hartelijk ontvangen met een kopje koffie terwijl we de etalages hadden bekeken. We vertelde dat we iets speciaals wilde en dat we hoopten dat hij ons wel kon helpen. Snel werd ons duidelijk dat alle wensen mogelijk waren want alles werd laten zien aan de hand van voorbeelden in dozen en vervolgens getekend in de computer. Eindelijk het gevoel dat we bij de juiste juwelier zaten. Helemaal blij liepen we de winkel uit. Na een paar weken ontvingen we het bericht dat de ringen klaar waren, we moeten zeggen ze zijn NOG MEER DAN PRACHTIG!! Over 2 weken gaan we trouwen en mogen we ze eindelijk de ringen om elkaars vingers schuiven. Heel erg veel dank 123GOLD!!
